Author Guidelines

1. Manuscript Format

• Jurnal SINTIKA accepts manuscripts written in either Indonesian or English.
• Manuscripts must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal.
• The manuscript should contain 3,000–6,000 words, including references.
• Authors must prepare the manuscript using the official Jurnal SINTIKA Template corresponding to the manuscript language:
  • Indonesian Template (Bahasa Indonesia)
  • English Template
• Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
• Use Constantia, 11 pt, single line spacing throughout the manuscript.
• Authors must follow the formatting and writing style specified in the official template.

2. Manuscript Structure

a. Title

For manuscripts written in Indonesian:

• The title must be presented in both Indonesian and English.
• Each title should consist of 10–14 words and accurately reflect the content of the research.
• Use Constantia, Bold, 18 pt, single spacing.

For manuscripts written in English:

• The title should be written only in English.
• The title should consist of 10–14 words.

b. Author Information

• Author names should be written in full without academic titles or degrees.
• Each author must provide:
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Email address
• The corresponding author should be indicated with an asterisk (*).

c. Abstract

For manuscripts written in Indonesian:

The manuscript must include two abstracts:

• Abstract (English)
• Abstrak (Bahasa Indonesia)

Each abstract should:

• Contain 100–150 words
• Clearly describe:
  • Research objective
  • Methodology
  • Main findings
  • Conclusion

Provide 3–5 keywords in both languages, arranged alphabetically.

For manuscripts written in English:

The manuscript must include:

• Abstract (English)

The inclusion of an Indonesian abstract is optional for international authors.

d. Introduction

The Introduction should include:

• Research background
• State of the art
• Research gap
• Research objectives

Avoid lengthy theoretical discussions.

All citations must follow the APA 7th Edition style.

e. Methodology

Describe the research methodology clearly, including:

• Research design
• Population and sample (if applicable)
• Data collection methods
• Data analysis techniques

For qualitative research, explain the research setting, participants, and the researcher's role.

f. Results and Discussion

Present research findings using text, tables, and figures where appropriate.

• Table titles should be placed above the table.
• Figure captions should be placed below the figure.

The Discussion should compare the findings with previous studies and relevant literature.

Authors are encouraged to cite at least 15 references from reputable scholarly journals.

g. Conclusion

The conclusion should be concise (maximum 100 words) and summarize the major findings while providing recommendations or practical implications.

h. Acknowledgments (Optional)

Authors may acknowledge individuals, institutions, or funding agencies that contributed to the research.

i. References

• A minimum of 15 references from reputable scholarly journals is required.
• References should preferably include a DOI or a valid article URL whenever available.
• Authors are strongly encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote.
• All citations and references must follow the APA 7th Edition style.

3. Citation and Referencing Style

• Every source cited in the manuscript must appear in the reference list.
• Every reference listed must be cited in the manuscript.
• Use APA 7th Edition.

Examples:

• One author: (Smith, 2024)
• Two authors: (Smith & Johnson, 2024)
• Three or more authors: (Susanto et al., 1994)

4. Manuscript Submission

• Manuscripts must be submitted through the Jurnal SINTIKA Online Journal System (OJS).
• Authors must ensure that the manuscript complies with the official template before submission.
• The manuscript must not have been published or simultaneously submitted to another journal.

5. Peer Review and Publication Process

• Every manuscript undergoes a rigorous Double-Blind Peer Review process.
• The final publication decision is made by the Editorial Board based on reviewers' recommendations.
• Accepted articles will be published online under an Open Access policy.

6. Language Policy

Jurnal SINTIKA provides two official manuscript templates:

• Indonesian Template
  • The manuscript is written in Bahasa Indonesia.
  • The title must be provided in both Indonesian and English.
  • Both an English Abstract and an Indonesian Abstrak are mandatory.
  • Keywords must also be provided in both English and Indonesian.
• English Template
  • The manuscript is written entirely in English.
  • The title is written in English only.
  • The abstract and keywords are written in English only.
