JURNAL SINTIKA (Jurnal Sistem Informasi, Teknik Informatika, dan Sistem Komputer) is committed to ensuring the long-term preservation, accessibility, and availability of all published scholarly content. The journal implements a digital archiving policy to safeguard its publications against data loss and to ensure permanent access for researchers, academics, and the general public.

Digital Preservation

All articles published in JURNAL SINTIKA are permanently archived through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform and preserved using recognized digital preservation mechanisms where available.

The journal is committed to maintaining reliable electronic access to its published content, even in the event of system failures or technological changes.

PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN)

JURNAL SINTIKA utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN), when enabled, to provide free and secure long-term preservation of published content for journals using Open Journal Systems (OJS).

The PKP Preservation Network ensures that published articles remain accessible even if the journal's website becomes temporarily unavailable or permanently ceases operation.

LOCKSS and CLOCKSS

Where applicable, the journal supports participation in trusted digital preservation systems such as:

  • LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe)
  • CLOCKSS (Controlled LOCKSS)

These preservation systems create multiple distributed copies of published content to ensure long-term accessibility and protection against data loss.

Institutional and Repository Archiving

Authors are encouraged to deposit the published version of their articles in:

  • National repositories
  • Personal academic websites
  • Research networking platforms

Authors should provide appropriate citation to the original publication in JURNAL SINTIKA.

Website Backup

The journal regularly performs system and database backups to protect published content and editorial records.

Permanent Accessibility

JURNAL SINTIKA is committed to ensuring that all published articles remain:

Published articles will not be removed from the journal website except in exceptional circumstances involving serious ethical violations, legal requirements, or formal article retractions.

Retraction and Preservation

If an article must be retracted, the original publication will remain part of the scholarly record whenever possible.

A clear Retraction Notice will be published and linked to the original article in accordance with the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
